life cycle of a frog
Did you know that a frog egg is called spawn ? Well, I will show you with the stages. First it is a spawn and then a tadpole and a froglet and then the last stage the adult frog.
It all starts with a egg that called a spawn thats sticky made out of jelly that protects the spawn from the predator. But some predator eats the spawn and they die .
When the spawn starts to get out it It turn to a tadpole. It is tiny and its gills helps the tadpole to breathe oxygen. The tadpole only as a tail and legs but some the tadpoles get eaten by the predators.
A tadpole is done growing for a few weeks it turns into a froglet. Its tail and gills disappear from them. They have legs so they can walk and jump. They always stay in the water, but if they go on land they will die .
The froglet keeps growing for a few weeks .Its final stage is a adult frog. It can jump on land and in water but it stays in water mostly. Then its life cycle starts all over again that is called metamorphosis.
